Amos
24/25
Amos is a queer sculptor working primarily in book and fiber arts. Their work combines the elements of fiber, text, and found or chosen objects to tell a unique story. Amos takes an interdisciplinary approach to making, reaching for the roles of archivist, collector, and storyteller in my practice.

““Every Queer Person Has a Burning Bush Moment” breathes queer allegory into Moses’ call to action from Exodus 3. The piece is a reflection on the queer faith experience and an exploration of the artist’s own transition. Though it may be easier, safer, or more comfortable to stay hidden, Moses reminds us to answer the call to liberation, both for ourselves and for our community.”
